The Hinckley Bermuda 50 is the result of a successful collaboration between the massively talented Hinckley Company and naval architects Tripp Design, masters in their own field.
The newest addition to the Hinckley fleet is a take on the Bermuda 40, a yacht we are very familiar with having worked on a number of vessels over the years through our full range of services which include yacht cleaning, yacht refit and yacht storage.
The Hinckley Bermuda 50, which will be launched next year, is described by Hinckley Yachts as “an advanced performance sloop that captures the best of design and technology”.
With head turning beauty and elegance that is unmistakably Hinckley, the 50ft sailing yacht is being billed as the modern day evolution of the Bermuda 40 which was launched half a century ago by Henry Hinckley.
At the time, the Bermuda 40 caused quite a stir in the yachting world with its stunning lines out of what was then a totally new invention – fiberglass.
And just as the Bermuda 40 chartered new waters in terms of design in the 1960s, so too will the new Bermuda 50 with its high-tech construction techniques and state-of-the-art sail handling systems.
The Bermuda 50 will make the perfect sailing or racing boat for a competent couple as well as be ideal as a family yacht. Its hydraulic lifting keel also means that the yacht can access shallow anchorages from Chesapeake to the Bahamas.
It is the latest in the large fleet of Hinckley boats, which range from powerboats and yachts from 29 to 70 feet.
